Chess With Friends “ the iPhone chess app that lets you play against friends (hence the name) as well as random opponents online – has been a favorite iPhone game of mine for quite a while. My friend Dan and I did a joint review of it back in December, which you can check out HERE.
The gist back then was that we both liked the app a whole lot – despite both being terribly bad chess players. One of the few wish list items we had, and one that the developers promised was coming in a future update, was for a Chat feature to be built into the game.
Last night I was glad to see an update show up for Chess With Friends, to Version 2.0. Happily, the very first new feature mentioned under this update ‘s details is Chat. Good stuff, very glad to see that. The other new features shown in the screencap above also sound quite good.
I ‘m keen to give the new version a go (tried last night but it was late the app was having some technical difficulties at that time) “ and hoping I can catch Dan for another epic ‘Battle of the Crappo Chess Players ‘ soon. 🙂
