There will be lots of very good live (blogging) coverage of Apple ‘s media event next Tuesday that will preview iPhone OS 3.0. I ‘m sure Engadget, Gizmodo, Macrumors, and several other great tech sites will be live blogging the event.
My personal favorite choice is:
http://live.gdgt.com/2009/03/17/live-iphone-os-3-0-event-coverage/
This is the very new (not even fully launched yet) gdgt site run by Ryan Block and Peter Rojas, the founders of Engadget. I always thought Ryan Block was the most razor-sharp, insightful writer on Engadget (even amongst a very strong crew of writers and editors etc.) and used to love his live blogging coverage of big Apple / tech events. Always found he provided not only great play-by-play of these events, but also hugely impressive, nearly instant analysis as he went along.
At this year ‘s MacWorld gdgt ‘s servers didn ‘t hold up that well, but Ryan Block has tweeted today about having switched to a new hosting company and seems confident that the backend will hold up this time.
If you ‘re a fan of Ryan ‘s live blogging, bookmark that link above. The page will remind you exactly what time the event starts in your time zone (it is set to kick off at 10:00am Pacific in Cupertino) next Tuesday 3/17/09
