iPhone Meets Art or Why I Can’t Stop Looking at My iPhone

Art for your iPhone. Adhesive stickers meet custom designs to form a unique way to embellish your favorite gadget or surface.  Infectious is the name of a company based in San Francisco that does gorgeous stickers for iPhones, iPods, laptops, cars and wall surfaces.

I was quickly and irresistibly drawn to the prospect of decorating my iPhone with one of the designs and ended up selecting Snow White Sonata Skins for both my iPhone and iPod. I figured the price was right – $9.99 a pop excl. shipping “ and they are removable, so hell, why not.

Following the included instructions the stickers were easy to apply to the device. The sticker for the iPhone is for essentially the back of the unit, leaving approx. 2 cm uncovered at the edges and a hole for the camera lens.

There is a matching sticker for the front bottom of the iPhone as well. I did feel however that it was a pity that there was no sticker for the top front (Infectious website explains that sensors in this area cannot be covered).
The quality of the sticker is excellent.

Colors are vibrant and the texture (cross-hatch channel vinyl) actually resembles fresco paintings and is thus functional as well as aesthetic.

Having used protective stickers before I was curious to see how they would fare under daily real-time treatment. After all, the iPhone is something that gets put down on tables, shoved into pockets, slipped into cases and what not, several times a day. So I ‘m really pleased to note after one week that they do not show signs of peeling off. Not one bit.

Infectious has a large collection of art to choose from and adds to existing designs continually. So. if you yearn to give your iPhone a cool individual look as I was, check ’em out.
