Kevin Rose
Kevin Rose is at it again. He has taken out his magic Apple crystal ball and has begun giving out detailed rumors about the future announcement of iPhone 3.0 software, scheduled to be announced tomorrow. Kevin Rose, founder of Digg.com, is notorious for releasing little snipets of whats to come from Apple. Most of the time he is correct and sometimes he is wrong.
On Saturdays live episode of Diggnation, Rose spoke of some new iPhone features that are going to be announced on Tuesday. The new episode of Diggnation is released on Wednesday, so there is no evidence of this being said other than being at SXSW in Austin, TX on Saturday. By Wednesday we will know the official announcement either way. Rose’s rumor is that there will be cut and paste in the iPhone 3.0 software update. Users will be allowed to pinch “copy boundaries” to select the text you want, then allows you to cut/copy it. It was also stated that there are going to be many new updates and features to bring the iPhone up to Palm Pre levels. Rose also mentions that there will not be video nor MMS included in the 3.0 update.
Kevin Rose was dead-on with his last Apple rumor, so we will have to see tomorrow if these rumors hold true. Finally, Alex Albrecht can calm down about copy/paste on the iPhone.
