Today ‘s featured iPhone theme is one that ‘s dedicated to a football (soccer) club that is one of the biggest and best-supported in England / Europe / anywhere. The theme “ which is currently at ‘preview ‘ stage “ is called Liverpool FC and is the creation of MMi forum member RedRebellion.
Liverpool are on a major roll right now “ they ‘ve just recently thrashed Real Madrid and Man United and re-signed their brilliant manager, Rafa Benitez. So it ‘s a perfect time to wear your Anfield allegiance on your iPhone.
I like the heavy use of ‘You ‘ll Never Walk Alone ‘ in the preview screens “ as the song is so heavily associated with the club. The theme does not have icons done yet, so the ones shown in the screencaps are just for ‘display purposes ‘. I hope the icon set will be a little more subtle than I ‘ve seen on other football club themes “ i.e. not just mini Liverpool player photos for nearly every icon.
The theme sounds like it is quite far along towards release, and I ‘m keen to see the final version. In fact, if it all looks as good as the preview screencaps, I hope RedRebellion will churn out themes for other big clubs soon.
