If you remember, just a few weeks ago Apple released iTunes 8.1 without some of the features it advertised. Namely, they didn’t deliver an improved iTunes Genius that would include suggestions for Movies and TV shows. As it turns out, Apple has quietly turned on the new Genius features.
In case you didn’t know, Genius was introduced with the release of iTunes 8.0 last fall. Genius is in short, a recommendation engine that uses several filters and iTunes’ built-in rating system to generate music suggestions for customers based on their current music library.
I’ve taken the new Genius for a spin (whatever that means), and it does work just as promised.
In the highly unlikely event you don’t have iTunes 8.1, you can download a copy here.
