An independent developer “ Sean Kovacs “ is set to bring a new Google Voice app to the iPhone soon. The app is called GV Mobile, and the demo video for it is impressive “ showing that it includes many of the features of the built-in Phone app “ like a Contacts screen and visual voicemail.
Google Voice is Google ‘s new name for what used to be Grand Central “ a service that offers many features for consolidating ‘all your phone numbers ‘ (I feel a bit sad “ I just have one), free and cheap calling, and much more. Here ‘s just some of the features highlighted at its home page:
I ‘ve never used Grand Central, but this seems like another interesting alternative for at least some iPhone calls.
