I got an email from Dataviz a little while ago, and as it flashed across Google Notifier I saw the words ‘Documents To Go for iPhone ‘ and immediately thought the app might be ready for launch. Not quite though. The first headline in the email is:
The wait is almost over!
And here ‘s the deal on just what almost over means:
Thanks to all who have been waiting patiently for the arrival of Documents To Go for iPhone. The next time you hear from us, it’ll be to tell you that Documents To Go is available for your iPhone and iPod touch in the App Store!
When will that be, you ask? Early to mid May.
OK, well that ‘s not too far away “ and the latest screenshots of the app look good. You can check them out at their Facebook page, HERE.
I ‘ve mentioned before, this app never worked very well for me on a Palm Treo 650 “ but I ‘m keen to see the iPhone version. The ability to edit Office docs on the iPhone has been an almost uncharted area on the iPhone “ and now we may see two formidable apps in this category within the next few weeks “ Documents To Go and QuickOffice. Hopefully one or both of them will be good solutions, or at least to fill the void while Microsoft figures out what it ‘s got up its sleeve for iPhone.
What do you all think? Which Office app (if any) are you looking forward to seeing?
