As of today, nearly one billion apps have been downloaded around the globe. So we just want to say thanks ” a billion. Download an app and you ‘ll automatically get the chance to win a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card, an iPod touch, a Time Capsule, and a MacBook Pro. Just go to the iTunes Store, browse the App Store, and download your best app yet.
The contest runs until the one billionth app is downloaded, and as you can see in the screencap above that ‘s not very far off. You ‘re automatically entered when you download an app from the App Store (rules don ‘t say a paid-for app, just an app “ from a quick glance anyway). There ‘s also a no purchase necessary entry link at Apple ‘s announcement page for this.
