As part of its build-up to the one billionth App Store download, Apple is giving us a look at the All Time Top 20 Paid Apps and All Time Top 20 Free Apps in the store ‘s history so far.
Most of the apps that have made these All Time lists are not very surprising “ apps like Enigmo, Cro-Mag Rally, Ocarina, Pocket God, and iShoot on the paid side; and stalwarts like Facebook, Tap Tap Revenge, Shazam, and Pandora Mobile on the Free list.
Naturally, there is a fart app represented on the paid list “ iFart.
I have to admit I had not noticed “ until this TechCrunch post pointed it out “ that Apple very rarely shares any ‘All Time ‘ lists “ preferring to continually show us what ‘s hot now sort of lists that change over rapidly. And I completely agree with Jason Kincaid ‘s thought that the App Store needs to make this sort of list a regular fixture “ as it lets users get a feel for which apps have been consistent winners over the course of time.
In the meantime, it ‘s well worth having a look at the All Time Top 20 lists “ they may well give you a reminder on an app you ‘d always meant to try. Check them out HERE (iTunes Store link).
