New (jailbreak-only) App Lets You Swipe To Update Twitter / Facebook from Anywhere on the iPhone

When you get the desire to tweet or update your Facebook status, why should you have to tap the home button, search through the maze of your apps, then wait for about 5 seconds for the app to launch? If you ask us, this is unacceptable and just backwards. You never have to worry about this with qTweeter because it always launches instantaneously when you simply slide you finger down from the status area.

It ‘s been a while since I saw an app that made me think I ‘d like to be jailbroken again “ but this morning I got an email about one that definitely fits that category.  It ‘s called qTweeter, and it ‘s developed by Efiko Software, the folks who produce iPhoneRingToneMaker, DialByPhoto, and others.

qTweeter looks and sounds very good to me.  The idea of being able to just swipe from anywhere on the iPhone to update Twitter / Facebook status, without having to go through the normal app launch routine, is hugely appealing.

qTweeter, a one of a kind status update application that lets you tweet and update your Facebook status like never before. It is straight to the point, super fast, ultra cool and darn effective. You launch qTweeter by simply sliding your finger down from the status area and can start tweeting right away. Despite the temptation this app brings, I don ‘t think I ‘ll be jailbreaking again anytime soon “ so sadly I won ‘t be trying out qTweeter anytime soon unless the App Store undergoes a religious-level conversion and welcomes this one in.
