Trivial Pursuit for the iPhone Launched

Trivial Pursuit for iPhone

Boy am I happy to see this one hit the App Store.  Electronic Arts has launched Trivial Pursuit “ the classic board game “ for the iPhone today.

I ‘ve spent many an evening playing Trivial Pursuit (and various special edition versions of it) with friends and family “ won some, lost some, enjoyed many heated debates, maybe cheated just a tad in boys vs. girls games over drinks, all that jazz “ so I downloaded this app as soon as I saw it pop up as recently added to the store.

I only played a couple games early this morning (with eyes barely open), but I can already tell you that the game looks very good and plays very well.  EA are a pretty huge games company and the ‘production values ‘ on this game feel quite high.

I played solo vs the AI at the mid-range difficulty setting and found it pretty challenging “ I won one game and lost one vs. the AI “ if not for the early morning sleepiness I ‘d be 2-0 of course šŸ™‚

The game also offers ‘Pass & Play ‘ mode with up to 6 players and a WiFi mode for up to four players.  I ‘ll be trying these out soon as well I ‘m sure.

Here ‘s a little portion of the game ‘s App Store description:

Knowledge meets fun in this stylish version of the classic! With over 3,500 text and picture questions, you ‘ll never run out of answers! Stunning 3D graphics and rich sound effects immerse you in the game. Feeling nostalgic? Play a round in Classic Mode. In the mood for something new? Test your wit in Pursuit Mode. Fuel your competitive side with WIFI capability for up to four players and Pass and Play for up to six. Answer fun and challenging questions correctly and get your piece of the pie! Over 3,500 questions including 2,900 text and 600 picture questions

I ‘ll be reviewing this one soon, but my first impression of it is very good “ and it ‘s great to see another classic board game make it the App Store.

You can find Trivial Pursuit in he App Store now, for $4.99.
