Apple® will kick off its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address on Monday, June 8 at 10:00 a.m. A team of Apple executives, led by Philip Schiller, Apple ‘s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, will deliver the keynote.

We already knew WWDC 2009 was set for the week of June 8-12.  Now we know the exact time for the kickoff of the event and the keynote address.  Hopefully this will include details on when iPhone OS 3.0 will launch and news on a new model (or models) this summer.

In the intervening 26 days, we ‘ll no doubt have heaps of fun taking in all the rumors, guesses, and ‘leaked ‘ case photos all around the web.  And those have already started of course.

And if you ‘re as excited / obsessed about WWDC (or specifically the keynote) as I am, you can already get yourself a nifty little WWDC 2009 Countdown widget (for use on Mac ‘s Dashboard “ could not find a Windows one in just a quick search).  See HERE for download details “ and happy counting down and rumor-mongering :)

There's a countdown app for iPhone that will count down to WWDC (as well as count “up” from lots of special Apple dates, like the introduction of the Apple I, Apple II, Mac, Newton, etc.) at http://itunes.com/applications/countdowncalendar. (It taps into an online repository of countdowns that has those special Apple dates along with movie premieres, sporting events, etc.)
