More Lovely Rumors – of New iPhone Models, with 4GB-32GB Capacities

Rumors

With the WWDC keynote less than a week away now, lovely iPhone rumors are coming thick and fast, and this will only increase over the next few days I expect.  Today ‘s loveliest (so far) is from Engadget

4GB to 32GB — that’s one hell of a range, but we’re hearing from a trusted source that new iPhones in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities just garnered approval by the PCS Type Review Certification Board, the standards body responsible for certificating handsets for use with some carriers (AT&T, for instance).

There ‘s also speculation that the small 4GB model will allow AT&T to sell iPhones at under $100.  That would fit so nicely into the current cunning plans my wife and I have for iPhone upgrade / hand-me-down strategies.  The plan up to now has been that I ‘ll get ‘the new model ‘, hand off my 3G to the wife, and she ‘ll pass on her 1st gen (with phone service turned off) to our daughter.

If a 4GB model for $99 really does come out this summer, that could change up our plans a touch; perhaps we ‘ll sell the 3G or keep it as a pure test device and get a newer model for my wife “ who could easily live with 4GB.

Roll on rumors, and mostly roll on WWDC keynote
