iSamurai – turn your iPhone into a frail, flailing sword!

Posted on 15 Jun 2009 by Thomas

It ‘s Saturday afternoon and you ‘re itching for some rice “ no wait, that ‘s not it.

It ‘s Saturday and you ‘re itching for Samurais to fight! Like in this video!

I love the concept at work here and the great use of the accelerometer for swinging and blocking, but my fear of inadvertently launching my iSword through dry wall and shattering it overrides any curiousity I have to try the $0.99 app out. Disarming my opponent wouldn ‘t be satisfying either, since my friend would have dropped his iPhone and you ‘ll be at a loss for a playmate in a two-player game. I know I ‘m being a real killjoy here, but this app just looks like playing hot potato with your mom ‘s China.

If you ‘re interested, though, here ‘s the iTunes link. There ‘s even a free lite version.

    Hi,
    Thanks for post.
We have been testing iSamurai for 5 months now and we haven't had any broken iPhones or iPod Touches. However, I do think that it is a good idea to have a cover that provides a good grip. :-)
