Apple has put up an iPhone availability site again, just like last year “ to show you exactly which models of the new iPhone 3GS are available in which Apple retail stores in the US.

You just choose your state and you ‘ll get a listing of all locations, and whether they currently have 16 and 32GB models in white and black.  In Texas right now the entire list is almost all green (models are available) “ but I ‘ve seen quite a few people mentioning shortages and difficulties finding iPhones in the last few days.  I ‘m guessing many of them may be in areas where there is no Apple store nearby, and the shortages are at AT&T and Best Buy / Walmart outlets.
