Dropbox “ the super easy and effective file sharing service that lets you sync files online and across computers “ is going to be releasing a (free) iPhone application soon.

That ‘s very good news in my book, as I have been using “ and loving “ Dropbox for some time now. It is very simple and easy to setup, offers 2GB of online storage space for free, is a free app for Mac, Windows, and Linux “ and requires almost zero configuration.  You just chuck stuff in your Dropbox folder and watch it happily sync away for you.

The upcoming iPhone app sounds great too:

in the near future we’ll be releasing our free iPhone app that will allow you to access your Dropbox on the go, view your files, save them to your phone, and even take photos that sync instantly to your Dropbox!

This is one app I am very much looking forward to seeing, hopefully really soon.
