I have to admit, it still shocks me a little how low the prices are going on the iPhone 3G.  This weekend there ‘s news all over the web covering AT&T latest offer “ of a refurb 8GB iPhone 3G for just $49, with a new two year contract of course.

Maybe an effort to lock in as many folks for another couple years before they potentially lose their iPhone exclusivity deal in the US in the not-too-distant future?  In any case, a heck of a deal for anyone looking to dip their toes in the iPhone waters without a big initial outlay.
