It ‘s always fun when someone talks the talk, and then utterly fails to walk the walk.  I spotted this earlier this week at Daring Fireball, noting the prediction by Microsoft ‘s CEO of how the iPhone would do in the smartphone market:

Steve Ballmer, back in April 2007 (two months before the iPhone hit stores):

There ‘s no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance.

Then saw a report today at Apple Insider, noting that the iPhone outsold ALL Windows Mobile phones in Q2 of this year.

Apple’s iPhone held onto a 13.7% share of global smartphone unit sales in the second quarter, outpacing Microsoft’s Windows Mobile, which now claims just 9% of the market, according to Canalys.

Good call Steve. :)

Apple vs. Microsoft = Ohio State vs. Michigan. Respectively, of course.
