Five Free Promo Codes for eWallet To Be Won

Contest Deadline: Tuesday August 25th, 1:00pm US Central

We ‘re rolling along with the ‘Anniversary Contests ‘ series to mark this site ‘s two year birthday this week “ and we ‘ve got so many great apps to offer up.  Today ‘s first entry is SimplyTweet “ a very full-featured iPhone Twitter client, with built-in push notifications.

eWallet has been my favorite password manager app for many years, and its iPhone app is gorgeous. It ‘s a $9.99 app “ and well worth the price in my view “ so getting it for free is a total ‘result ‘ as we used to say in the UK. :)

Hit the jump for details on how easy it is to enter for a chance to win

How To Win:

*** Just add a comment to this post, making sure to fill out the ‘email address ‘ field (don ‘t worry, it won ‘t be displayed and we won ‘t use it for any other reason than to contact you if you win) “ and you ‘re in with an entry for our random drawing of winners on Tuesday.

*** For a bonus entry to double up your chances of winning, tell us the dumbest, weakest password you ever used to login to a work or home PC. Please don ‘t share a current one “ just a security-wrecker from your past. :)

That ‘s it! We ‘ll draw our five winners on Tuesday (8/25/09) sometime after 1:00 pm US Central time.

*** Please Note: The promo codes are only available for the US App Store, so you will need a US-based account to make use of them “ keep this in mind when entering the contest.

Good luck to all!

    Count me in……

My place of work has the poorest passwords for WiFi. Simply the company name!

  5. Rob McAngus says:

besides the word "password", I once thought I would be clever and pick a latin work…but then I forgot how I spelled it so I spent 30 minutes online with customer service. Special.

  6. Wayne says:

I'm confused. This is for eWallet, right? Sign me up, it's about time to get all my important stuff on my iphone, still using my Palm for passwords.

Weakest password? Not me, but a division mgr where I worked got his account hacked, was using "pa$$word". Ha!

  7. AndyNJ says:

I once used my login name as a password.

  8. Charles says:

I've had my login name as a password but I've also used my initials as my password.

  9. FRANK CATALANO says:

Sounds like a nice app to try out given all the good reviews. My weakest password was prob password123.

  10. David says:

    Sign me up!

Worst password: root (Back when I was young, foolish and had a lot more hair…)

  11. Dave R says:

My weakest login was no password at all, just hit enter at the prompt. Second weakest was my first name. I have become a bit more sophisticated since then.

  12. Paul says:

I want this! I used to use it with my Palm. I wish they'd release ListPro for the iphone, though.
I work in tech support, so I have a zillion password stories. Suffice it to say that none of them match the old lady with sticky notes on everything, including one on her mouse that says "mouse".

  13. Long time reader, first time commenter!
I tend to use girlfriends' names as passwords. If you know who I'm dating, then there you go.

  14. R S says:

Weakest password in the past: Password to an online on my desktop background.

  15. I always mix up my different passwords or lose the post-it notes they're written on. My weakest effort was passw0rd.

  16. Greg says:

I already have ewallet so I'm not entering the contest but i just have to say I have been a fan of this program for years and still use. The ability to sync to the web and desktop is outstanding.

  17. crloga says:

I want this, I used it with my windows mobile phone and loved it. My weakest password was on my home computer, all you had to do was hit enter unless you thought a password was required becasue it asked for one. I am no longer set up that way.

  18. Old School Mike says:

All of my dumbest, weakest passwords are currently in use, so I can't share.

  19. Karthik says:

Wow.. another awesome iPhone app giveaway! My weakest password has to be 'password'. :-)

  20. sfmitch says:

    I'm in.

Dumbest password was drowssap (password spelled backwards).

  21. Tracy says:

And I thought I was being so original and clever when I used password as my password…

  22. David says:

Hope it's me! Dumbest password has to be ABC123.

  23. aflorence says:

Throw my name in the hat. I've never been really careless with passwords.. I've always been more likely to give myself a secure (hard to remember) one and have to get it regularly reset cuz I forgot it.

  24. Elisa says:

Thanks for a chance for this great app. ^_^

Password…..hm…used 'work' as a password at work, seemed like a good idea at the time! LOL!

  25. Daniel Nowak says:

My worst password was the name justin I just liked the name, It was great until on day a friend of my name justin was over. He saw right away what I typed. Who wouldn't recognize their name being typed. He just laughed at me.

  26. Sign me up!

and i used like, abc123 before lol. much younger..

  27. Vincenzo says:

I have so many cards, for business and personal. I could really use eWallet. Dumbest password I've ever used was "nopassword"

  28. Jereme says:

I want eWallet 'cause SplashID's destop sync is worthless now

  29. kaiks says:

Ooooooo. I need this app. Pick me!

  30. Karyn says:

Looks like a very useful app, thanks for the "opp"! ;)

Weakest password? My pet's nickname; you knew me, you knew it, eek. :/ Thanks again!

  31. Bob Fowler says:

No more, making "fake" contacts with funky details to cover up my passwords. Sign me up for one of these promo codes :)

  32. TimF says:

This would be great for me, then I can get rid of the postit note in my wallet with my IDs and password hints.

Worst password? Having a list in my wallet is not good enough? May dad use to write his on the wrist rest of his laptop

  33. My weakest password attempt at the computer lab back in college (a LOOONG time ago) was "monkey" – and they wouldn't let me use it! They told me I had to pick something else, so I went with "nitsuj" – my best friend's name, backwards!

    Yay for giveaways!
