DIY Rotating Lego Dock for iPhone Looks Good

This very cool dock made by Steven Combs not only lets him rotate his iPhone, it also has an appropriate high-tech look made entirely from gray, black, and white Lego parts.
I agree this is very cool looking “ and a hell of a good do-it-yourself effort. I need to get some more Lego supplies and give one of these a go sometime soon.

If there's a step by step, I'll do it. I don't have the smarts to attempt w/o a step by step. Looks awesome though!
I didn't see a step-by-step mentioned at the original post – and I'm thinking about the same as you. I'll rely on my daughter's smarts to get us by when we try this out
I'm not certain if my son's lego collection will help us: I don't know if we have any "rotating" pieces that would allow for this. Any idea what clock app that is? I've not found a clock app that I like to replace an alarm clock when traveling.
Sorry – no clue what that app is.
I thought it was the Kensington Rise&Shine iPhone app but looks a little different (uglier).
Here's a paper version…

Excellent! Thanks for sharing.
Even funnier – but shows the ingenuity of human inventiveness! This guy starts with a paperclip – a mini-plate holder design – and now sells out of plastic, credit card version for $5!

Amazing stuff – thanks for sharing it.
Of course I like this one because you can include your charger cable…

Very slick looking. I just know mine would come out looking nowhere near that neat.
I've printed out the template… and will enter origami-meets-iPhone world soon. If you don't hear from me soon, send a post-it!
LOL. Good luck, God Speed. Look forward to further reports.
