Poolga Wallpapers Now Have an iPhone App

I ‘ve been a fan of the unique and artistic wallpapers on offer at Poolga.com for a long time “ and first posted about them back in February of 2008. So I ‘m interested to see that they ‘ve now got a native app in the iPhone App Store.
The app feels very ‘Version 1.0 ‘ right now, but offers a nice taster for what the Poolga site offers.
Right now, it appears to offer a fairly small set of around 20 wallpapers (in relation to how many are to be found at the poolga.com site). These do provide a good feel for the flavor of walls you ‘ll see at the site though.

When you find one of the walls you like “ which will happen a lot
“ it ‘s easy to save it down to your Camera Roll so you can use it as wallpaper.
It would be nice to see a few more features in the app. For instance, in addition to the option to download a wallpaper, it might be nice to build some social / sharing options in “ and that surely couldn ‘t hurt in terms of promoting the app / site.
I also hope that the content within the app will be expanded and refreshed often. In the meantime, it ‘s a nice little 1.0 effort that gives you a good Intro to a lovely source for iPhone wallpapers.
Poolga Wallpapers is a free app, and you can find it in the App Store now.
UPDATE: See the comments below. It seems may not be a Poolga official / blessed-by-Poolga app at all. I’m sorry to hear that, if it’s accurate – and hope we’ll see the genuine article soon and appropriate actions taken if this app is violating copyright.

Patrick, another nice site for wallpapers is idesigniphone.com. They have an awesome art section & you can save the photos right to the iPhone of course. The site is not a mobile site so it is kind of annoying but it's worth it.
Yup, have been there before too. Very large selection there for sure.
I may have missed it, but I would assume this app is free?
Sorry – my bad – yes it sure is and I'm updating post with that info (as I generally always include) and a link to it in the App Store.
Patrick, Thanks for the mention, but this App is not an official Poolga App as it is posing to be. In fact, it's using our name, logo and artwork without permission. Stay tuned for the (real) Poolga Wallpaper App coming soon.
If that's accurate, that's a shame and I hope the right response is made by Apple, and look forward to seeing the real deal. Have updated the post to that effect as well.
