Flickit for iPhone Updated – Adds Full Resolution Uploads for 3GS & More
Flickit is a long-time favorite of mine, and even a constant on my first home screen. I ‘ve tried out many apps for copying / sharing / uploading images from the iPhone, but none has ever matched the speed and ease of use of Flickit.
Today this superb “ and still free “ app has had an update, to Version 1.2. The biggest new feature is the ability to upload images from the iPhone 3GS at full resolution (they were previously capped at 1200X1600). I ‘ve tried out uploading at full resolution and it is still blazing “ nice!
The other two notable additions in this version are:
- Twitter and blog integration. Flickit now works with Flickr ‘s blog and Twitter features.
- Groups support. If you ‘re a member of any groups, Flickit now gives you the option to select one or more groups that the photo will be added to after upload.
I ‘ve never used “ or even noticed “ any blog or Twitter features within Flickr “ but the Groups support looks useful for me as well.
I ‘ve posted about Flickit several times in the past “ including this post talking about how I can tell is is an essential for me “ and it ‘s lovely to see it continuing to improve.
If you do much uploading to Flickr, you really ought to give Flickit a look. It ‘s a brilliant app, and one of the very best free iPhone apps you ‘ll ever come across. Check it out HERE in the App Store.
I'm still outdated I guess. I still use photobucket. Is Flickr really that good? I remember the resolution for [img] embedding wasn't very good… This looks like a good program to use if you're a flickr user…
Oh, I bet you're much more up on this topic than I am. I just use Flickr because it was the first photo sharing site back in the day, and my photographic efforts are beyond amateur.
