Tech Trader Daily is reporting on a recent note sent to clients of research firm Wedge Partners, wherein they predict redesigned iMac and MacBooks within weeks. They claim this refresh will bring significant design changes to the iMac while leaving the MacBook’s design largely unchanged.
Wedge sees a redesigned iMac witjh a “thinner, organic design, likely with smoothed or rounded edges. The MacBook redesign “is likely to be limited,” Wedge asserts.
Lastly Wedge predicts price cuts to put Apple’s products more in line with Windows 7 based PC expected to launch next month.
I can see the price cuts, Apple is becoming more and more aggressive on the pricing cuts. However, I think Wedge got this backwards. I would expect the new MacBooks to receive a larger design overhaul, than the only two year old iMac design. We’ll just have to wait and see.
