There’s an app for that: Eye Glasses for iPhone

Eye Glasses for iPhone

The iPhone would still look ridiculous mounted to your head by a set of frames (and, technically, you’d be a cyclops), but using the iPhone 3GS as a magnifying glass is a pretty sweet idea. Eye Glasses comes with four digital zoom levels, and although it works with any iPhone model, you’re obviously going to have the best experience with the 3GS and its auto-focus lens.

At $2.99 my first gut feel is that you could probably find a zoom camera app for a lower price, but the interface probably wouldn’t be as reading-friendly.

I have been doing this for a while. This tricked worked even better with my old Moto Q since it had an awesome flash that doubled as a flashlight and lighted magnifying glass.
