AppleInsider is reporting on emerging details from Apple resellers stating that reseller orders of Mac minis have slipped to a ‘2-3 weeks’ shipping timeframe, which seems to pertain to both of the Mac mini stock models. This comes after yesterday’s discovery that Mac minis ordered direct from Apple, are on a 1-3 ship delay.
As reports of a forthcoming hardware refreshes continue to mount, Apple has braced its certified resellers for unusually long shipping times of two to three weeks for both models of its minute Mac mini desktop systems.
Both the low-end, 120GB hard drive Mac mini and the top-tier 320GB model now have a wait time of two to three weeks. Typically, the hardware ships in one to three business days for non-custom orders, people familiar with the online Apple Store for Resellers told AppleInsider.
Reportedly, lead times for the iMac, MacBook, and MacBook Pro have slipped from to 3-5 days, that’s up from the standard 1-3 business days. This makes sense for the iMac, and MacBook, as there have been a gluttony of rumors circulating about those products. However, there has been no mention of a MacBook Pro refresh in the pipeline at this time.
