iPhone Exposé concept video looks good, but not that usable

I’m with Cult of Mac on this one. This concept video of Exposé possibly being ported to the iPhone just doesn’t seem to translate that well. Having a thumbnail of nine or more iPhone screens is going to be tough to navigate — well, unless you have them sorted by colour. When I first saw the title of the video I got excited and thought that it might be a little bit like the Dashboard post I wrote a little earlier. Unfortunately, the video is really just about another way to navigate home screen pages – and since I really only keep four of them, Exposé wouldn’t serve as much of a shortcut for me. There’s also something about that ghostly hand that’s a little creepy. ![]()

My vision of Expose for iPhone would be a side scrolling presentation of windows, icons, or thumbnails. It seems they didn't even consider the iPhone as a different platform, which has different UX needs.
This looks very familar. There was a rumor early in the year about TapSB, a similar utility that looked very promising but, apparently, never became available.
I like it.
