Analytics App for iPhone – Password Problem, Possible Fix & Status Update
Analytics App “ a superb tool for blog / site owners who want to keep track of their Google Analytics stats on the iPhone “ has been failing to work for some users recently, and generating this error:
The developers of Analytics App have got a support / status update post up on this issue, dated October 7th. Hit the jump for some details from that post, including a fix that is apparently working for some users
Some users are having an issue with logging in through Analytics App, the error saying ‘bad username and password ‘. Many users have been able to resolve this issue by going to this URL from Safari on their device:
https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha
Fill out the email, password, and captcha text, then tap ‘Unlock ‘. Then open Analytics App and give it a try. For some users this does not solve the problem, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We are revamping the app to use the new API so we do not have to worry about this same issue any longer. This is a major overhaul of the app but we hope it will be ready within 2-3 weeks (late October). If you would like a refund, please forward your Apple receipt email from your purchase to support@analyticsapp.com and include your paypal email address.
I have been experiencing the password error issue over recent days and unfortunately the possible fix suggested above did not work for me. I do not want a refund at all, and will wait for their update that resolves the problem. I like this app tons and even find it nicer to work with to review stats than Google Analytics on a desktop browser most of the time.

I agree, this app is a much nicer experience to view Analytics data then the web-browser version. I love the "Today" screen, which to my knowledge there is no way to view that data in the browser. Fortunately, I've not experienced this lockout issue, and as of today Analytics is working great for me. But great to hear there's a fix coming soon.

the same. fix (above) doesn't work for me, so let's wait for another fix. Aside this temp challenge, I looooove this app..

I too an going through withdrawals from not being able to use this app. I have been recommending this app to everyone I know that has a website and an iphone. I will be so happy when they get this issue resolved.

November, 3rd. nothing has changed. bad user name… Well, I give one more week, and then ask for refund… These guys selling new apps on their site to new visitors and completely ignoring their existing customers. fail…
