Glasklart Theme Gets an Update – 300 More Icons
I mentioned a couple of months back that I ‘d finally found a theme I like for my jailbroken iPhone 3GS “ Glasklart.
The theme has just had an update in Cydia over the last day or two, and has added icons for around 300 more apps. Impressive effort, especially as this theme is already pretty icon-packed right out of the box.
I turned off PogoPlank for just a short spell to see how close some of my home screens would be to being completely covered with Glasklart icons. My first screen is very close, while others are getting better but still have a ways to go.
In any case, it ‘s good to see Glasklart get a nice icon update “ even though I switched straight back to PogoPlank after giving the icons a quick look.

Any thoughts on why Apple doesn't have themes approved for the iPhone? I don't see why we can't do lots of this stuff on non jailbroken iPhones… I understand from time time (not all or even most) why apple locks certain things out… but SMS ringtones? c'mon… changing these is like smartphone 101… like copy and paste… they finally realised that… but what about themes… let me make my phone look the way I like…. Why Apple??? Why?
Lots of theories out there on this. I suppose it's somewhere in the 'protecting us from ourselves' neck of the woods.
Patrick, if you want themes, you need to ditch Cydia & get into the forums of MacThemes <http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewforum.php?id=24&g… The designs, dedication & attention to detail are all worth the disorganized presentation.
I tried a couple times looking round in there for icons – but there were 100's of pages on single threads about Glasklart and I did not find the search very effective for finding icons for apps by name. So that left me with pretty much needle in haystack type prospect, and I couldn't face that. Maybe user error on my part.
