Featured iPhone Theme: Matte Nano

Posted on 31 Oct 2009 by Thomas

People seem to really like the matted look. There are at least four Matte themes available on Cydia, although only Matte Nano seems to actually skin my icons. I use Matte Graphite to theme my UI elements (pop-ups, SMS bubbles, etc. ) but it doesn’t seem to do anything for my Springboard, which is strange.
Matte Nano works and is gorgeous, but not without a few problems of its own. There’s some strange text that hovers above my camera icon, and since none of the other icons feature text I can only assume it’s a bug. In addition, some icons used a little cheat and feature black backgrounds instead of transparent ones. This means they’ll stick out like a sore thumb if you’ve got a Springboard background that isn’t pure black. These are pretty small errors, though, and I’m sure they can be fixed if someone reports them.
In the meantime, you can find all of the Matte themes on Cydia.

woah. Never saw this comment. Probably too late, but I've never made any of my own icons (yet). This was just downloaded from cydia. Not modified at all.
