New Arsenal FC App Looks Good & Is a Good Idea

Arsenal FC official iPhone app

Support the Gunners?  There ‘s an * official * app for that now.  The new Arsenal app for the iPhone is published by Arsenal Football Club itself, and looks like quite a good effort.

The app gets its stories from the club ‘s official website, and its key features include:

  • Latest news, tables, and fixtures
  • Match highlights and more great videos
  • Picture galleries from every game
  • Squad info

I haven ‘t grabbed the app, but only because I ‘m not an Arsenal fan (in fact I support their rivals, Tottenham).  The app looks nicely done, is getting stellar reviews in the App Store so far, and I think it ‘s a very good idea.

There are plenty of slapped-together-looking ‘Fan of Every Sports Team in the World ‘ individual apps strewn all over the store.  I ‘d far rather see more official efforts from clubs and teams in future.

The Arsenal app is in the App Store now “ and its ‘ cool to see that includes the US store, priced at $4.99.

Any Arsenal fans here?  Or even fans of the EPL generally?

Huge Gunner fan, perhaps the biggest in the state of Vermont. Have the Arsenal App for my iPhone. Happy to see the boy beat Tottenham this weekend ;-)

We develop iPhone apps for the intellectual property arena. So it's fun reading your blog!

  2. Boy, I bet it was hard to say nice things about this app after the events of this weekend, eh? :D

It's an excellent app as befits the best team in London!

Patrick, what's the score, Patrick, Patrick, what's the score?

  3. I got the Milan app because it was from the club so I thought it would be well done. It was a piece of crap. Video highlights didn't even include all of the goals. Was just after game interviews – almost all in Italian. I really wanted it to follow the progress of Gooch (USMNT defender Onweyu) but I couldn't find anything on him in the app. Would hope Arsenal does a better job, but I'll stick to Big Soccer.

I'll be back on my iPhone tonight/tomorrow, and will certainly install this app. I so miss going to Arsenal games. But, yes, we certainly delivered the beatdown this past weekend…

Arsenal is loadedinstalled, and am rather impressed thus far. Albeit I've not played with all the features, yet…
