Orba for iPhone — free for a limited time
Don’t know about Orba? That’s okay, because the game just came out. It looks to be another “screen-clearing” game where you tap on at least three similarly-coloured balls to clear them — the more that you clear in one tap, the more points you get.
What really sets it apart is that it was developed by the Kieffer Bros, and that’s enough for me to at least give it a shot. They’re the folks who developed the insanely gorgeous word game, Lexic, which I reviewed a little while ago. I haven’t played very much of Orba yet, but at first glance it does seem to feature some of the same great polish, animations, and presentation that made Lexic such a winner in my book.
What’s more, Orba is free for a limited time, so you’ve got literally nothing to lose.

Thanks for the heads-up. This game has a level of polish that so many lack. It really is a joyto play. Nice, soothing sounds.
The first few levels are very easy, which was great for learning and experimenting with strategy. The game looks and plays simple enough, but once you reach the higher levels you have to start thinking ahead.
