Orbit 1.1 released – iPhone Exposé gets a few more features, still no pinching

Orbit 1.1

I think developers are confusing the weekend with the work week — it’s crazy how many updates have been released in the past two days!

Steven Troughton-Smith just released the update to Orbit, which is essentially Exposé on the iPhone: with Orbit activated you’ll see quick previews of all of your home screens, so you can just tap on one instead of swiping through to it. You used to have to tap on the icon to activate Orbit, but there’s now double-tap home button support. Winterboard themes show up properly as well, and Spotlight has been added as the first “home screen”.

One welcome new feature is auto-resizing of the home screen thumbnails if you only have 5 screens – this means much bigger previews when using Orbit, so it’s a lot easier to identify apps at a glance. Still no pinch activation, though — so if you’d like that right now, you’re looking at OverBoard 1.0.

You can pick up both Orbit 1.1 and Overboard 1.0 on Cydia.
