Today’s Appvent Calendar games – Samurai: Way of the Warrior and Navy Patrol: Coastal Defense

Coastal Defense

Today’s games are brought to you by the letter F (as in FREE):

Samurai: Way of the Warrior (review of v1.0 here) is a hack-and-slash game with more gore than all four (or is it five?) Saw movies combined. It’s got some pretty punishing timing and and it can get a little repetitive, but you can’t argue with a free game. The graphics and presentation are definitely worth a peek, at the very least. Navy Patrol: Coastal Defense is a tower defense game based around combat at sea. I can’t say too much more because I’ve only played a few minutes, but it seems to be one of those TD game that errs on the side of extreme customization. You can specify which kinds of enemies your turrets should target, and there are a whopping 15 different turret types to choose from. [iTunes link]

Both of these games are offered by the Appvent Calendar, and it’s the first time they’ve offered two games on one day!
