NASA iPhone app

Ah, the mileage for goofy NASA app post titles “ big fun.

The NASA app for the iPhone has had a real update though “ to Version 1.1.   This was already a very impressive app on its first release “ but this latest version offers some nice additions, including:

  • Visible sighting opportunities listed for near-earth orbiters (shuttle, ISS, etc) by home location and through search for location
  • Richer mission details and more content
  • Enhancements to Videos and Updates panels
  • High-resolution image option (configured in device settings)
  • Status updates on upcoming launches
  • Prevent sleep mode setting for tracking launches

This is really a standout iPhone app “ and it ‘s great to see it being improved and adding features.  You can find the NASA app in the App Store now “ and it ‘s a free app.
