App Store Takes A Page From The Amazon Playbook

If you ‘ve ever shopped on Amazon ‘s web site, you are probably familiar with the ‘Also Bought ‘ suggestion system that offers items to compliment the purchase you ‘re presently contemplating, dressed up* as ‘Customers who bought this item also bought ‘.

Apple has now taken this concept to the App Store.  Below the App ‘s reviews, you ‘ll see a similar set of suggestions:

Yet another way in which Apple is changing the face of the App Store.   At the very least, there are some similar/related apps to check out without having to navigate the search feature.   That ‘s a good thing.

 

* Some time ago, I looked up a Tom Clancy book on Amazon.  One of the items that customers ‘also bought ‘ was another Tom Clancy book that wasn ‘t due to be released for another few days “ draw your own conclusions

  2. A step in the right direction. Next, factor in if those also bought/downloads were rated highly by others and you've got something! If its just that people download all the free Navigation apps then that's less helpful…
