TomTom USA iPhone App Gets Big Price Cut!

It seems like just about every major navigation app has announced a holiday sale, and with each new announcement it seems like each company is trying to undercut the last one. In this case, following Navigon’s price cut yesterday of their MobileNavigator app to $59.99, TomTom announced today that they’ve cut the price of their U.S. iPhone app to only $49.99!
Keep in mind, however, that this is only for the TomTom USA version. Those ten extra dollars you’ll spend on Navigon will get you maps of Canada as well. To get the full TomTom U.S. & Canada, you’ll have to pony up another twenty bucks for the $69.00 U.S. & Canada version, which is still a great buy considering it used to cost about $100.00!
You can find TomTom U.S. in the iPhone App Store for only $49.99 (iTunes link), or the U.S. & Canada version for only $69.99 (iTunes link).

I'll wait for a free, native turn by turn app. It's going to happen.
@mike: I do some work with TomTom on this, and the thing to consider about the free or inexpesnive apps is that too this point, none contain a map within the device, instead relying on the data connection. That means if you loose connectivity, or if it just slows down a bit, navigation will lag. All the premium apps like TomTom carry the map on the device requiring no data connection. Additionally, the quality and accuracy of maps are not always the same.
