OT: Google’s Holiday gift is huge, but you likely won’t see it

Google Holidays

Here is one of those times  that Google’s “Don’t be evil” seems to come into play. Instead of simply offering special Holiday sales (though there is a storage space sale), they seem to have launched a huge, albeit vague PR/Humanitarian campaign involving $20 Million and a list of charities. I’m not playing the Doubting Thomas here – $20 Million is a lot of cash, and I’m sure it’ll go to a good cause. I just find it a little ironic that the king of online information only has a list of charity names at the bottom of the screen, and not actual links.

I’m also wondering why they made Canada look so small on that spinning globe…okay, I’ll stop now.
