Apple Purchased Quattro Wireless for $275 Million?

Quattro Wireless is a mobile advertising company, and is a direct competitor to AdMob which Google snatched up recently for $750 million. It has been said that Apple was considering purchasing AdMob before Google got to it first.

If only in word, Apple and Google appear to be aiming directly at each other’s throats on an increasingly regular basis. Notice though how Microsoft is left almost entirely out of these decisions these days? Just Apple and Google making waves.

An official announcement on this development is expected to be made as early as today.
