I ‘ve only recently started to use iTunes as my primary music library.  With the ability to share out one library from my Mac to a couple of Windows machines, and with three of us in the house using iPhones / Touches, it just makes good sense for us.

Although I ‘ve got a few gripes about using iTunes, overall I ‘m happy with the experience.  As we ‘re gradually building up our iTunes library, I ‘m occasionally hitting on a favorite artist, or favorite tracks, that aren ‘t available.  I ‘m sure this happens to everybody “ and today I just thought I ‘d share one that I ‘m looking for: Shara Nelson.

For those who ‘ve never heard of her, she did vocals on Massive Attack ‘s ‘Unfinished Symphony ‘ and produced one superb solo album, ‘What Silence Knows ‘.  It was one of those rare albums where every track was good and I never wanted to skip any tracks.  My favorite two songs on it are ‘Down That Road ‘ and ‘One Goodbye in Ten ‘.   The only place I ‘ve spotted this album are at Amazon, in CD form for $19.98.  I can ‘t find any of the single tracks for sale on iTunes or Amazon.

I ‘m still at rookie stage in terms of iTunes usage “ and finding alternatives as well “ so I ‘ll keep searching for better spots to find this album / tracks from it, in downloadable form.
