Apple Working on a New Version of iWork That Supports Advanced Multi-Touch Gesturing?

iwork09box.jpgThe New York Times is reporting on claims made by former Apple employees who say Apple has been working on advanced multi-touch gesture controls, which were first created by Fingerworks (a company Apple bought a few years ago), and have been using these technologies in some of their more recent products.

These same sources also claim that Apple has “spent the past couple of years working on a multitouch version of iWork”. What is the best guess as to where would such a version of iWork be used? Yep, that’s right. The tablet. That further solidifies the rumors that this device will fill the grey area between the iPhone and MacBook when the device is introduced later this month.
