As expected, Apple is holding a "special event" on the 27th of January 10am PST, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco.

The rumors that this event would take place and that the 27th was the date have been around for ages it seems like “ and now they are confirmed, with several top tech sites reporting that they ‘ve received their invites. 

Now the real frenetic speculation “ on what will be announced, what the tablet device will be like if that is the ‘latest creation ‘ and on what ‘s in store for the iPhone and its relationship to the new device.
