That can run iWorks….lol I would much rather have a MacBook over this anyday! I'm really trying to figure out what purpose this device serves? i can't talk on it…it doesn't fit in my pocket…still no multitasking…no camera…
I have to say I agree with Rayman. When my wife saw it the first words were "I Want It!!!!" I'm asking her why? She has a Blackberry, a 3GS, and a newer laptop. Her answer: "It's pretty!"
Sounds like exactly what Apple was thinking too. I can picture how this thing will become a staple for the uber-starbuck crowd…Ugghhh
I'll pass

I think multitasking will come soon via an OS update, and even if it doesn't it's likely this thing will be jailbroken pretty quickly.

It isn't a phone. it doesn't have multitasking. What were they thinking? It is a big itouch… but not as portable. Sounds like a feminine product….

The iPad not having multitasking kills the deal for me right there… I just don't get with a screen of that size I want to be able to run Pastebot & Pandora while surfing the web. I was also looking forward to this having some sort of iChat feature. I like where Apple is going & I believe this is just the beginning. I am going to wait & sit on the side lines for this one. One thing that will be awesome is playing some MiniGore or Guerrilla Bob on the iPad. Good Luck on the new website, I look forward to it.

I agree 100%. I don't see the allure for this kind of thing unless its open and runs a real o/s. It would be a great web toy if it supported flash but I would never use it to play music or do anything in iWork. Maybe someone will jailbreak it so we can strip the o/s…

I love my iPhone 3gs (and quite frankly didn't like my iPod Touch as much as my iPod Classic), but I don't get this device's purpose. Is it just me or is this just a large iPod Touch, which would make some games a lot better, and some a lot worse? It has "I am going to break in your first day of ownership" written all over it. What I was hoping for (and would have purchased on launch week) is laptop-iPod touch cross-over, allowing me to use full versions of my favorite and needed programs AND iPhone/Touch apps. If I was in the market for a Kindle, this would probably win me over and I am assuming that's who they are targeting, but for the rest of us who want 1 trusty handheld device (I prefer 3gs) and 1 trusty computer (I prefer Macbook) this device seems meaningless…
