Apple Now Allows VOIP Over 3G on the iPhone
Apple has apparently lifted its ban on VOIP over 3G on the iPhone. Very good news for apps like Skype and many others offering VOIP calling iPhone apps. In fact, there are already a couple offering support for this. iCall “ whose icon I have mangled for the above screencap “ is one and Acrobits Softphone, which Josh will have further details on soon.
Here ‘s hoping this is just the first of several long-awaited changes to the iPhone OS “ I ‘m really hopeful that we ‘ll see some support for multitasking (even if only on the 3GS) and better home screen / apps organizing coming soon in a 3.2 or 4.0 update.

This is definitely good news… I now see no reason why Apple should deny the new GV Mobile+ app. I am crossing my fingers.
Now since when do they need a reason?
I know they say GV duplicates the Phone app's UI & people will get confused. The reason they gave us is a bunch of crap unless they think we are all idiots and can't figure out the difference between the stock phone app & a GV app…. I am just happy I can at least use the GV Mobile+ app jailbroken. I like it much better than Google's web app.
Using Acrobits over 3G with my Hosted PBX provider, FonAngle and it rocks. Glad Apple finally got their act together
