
Engadget is reporting that evidence has been uncovered in iPad 3.2 SDK supporting the idea that Apple had been working on video conferencing for the new device.
We’re told that there are hooks to accept and decline a video conference, flip a video feed (which suggests a front-facing camera) and — most importantly — run the video call in either full screen mode or in just a portion of the screen. That means you’ll be able to chat and do other things at the same time, which could mean there’s at least some type of multitasking going on here.
There were reports just prior to the iPad launch that suggested Apple was working on models with a front-facing video camera. There is another recent find that suggests That said, I think we can safely expect a front-facing camera in future iPad, or even iPhone models.
