A repair company called Mission Repair has posted these images claiming to be the iPad outer frame. The iPad isn’t shipping yet, but it appears Mission Repair received a shipment of iPad parts through unofficial channels. Other similar photos have been making the rounds around the web. If these photos are genuine, they prove that Apple did in fact plan to include a camera in the device.
This story kind of reminds me of the days prior to the iPhone launch. Instead of a plastic screen, Apple, shortly before the release date of the iPhone, released a statement announcing that iPhone would have a glass screen, and eight hour battery life. I feel, and this is purely speculation, that Apple may be holding the camera announcement prior to the launch of the iPad.
