New: Things Plugin for LockInfo [iPhone Jailbreak Apps]

Things plugin for LockInfo

Things has been my favorite task manager app on the iPhone and the desktop for a long while.  It is one of my favorite and most-used apps, an every day essential.

Up until today, I ‘d never been too tempted to try the jailbreak LockInfo app.  Today a Things plugin for LockInfo was released in Cydia, and that ‘s convinced me to give it a try.  So far, so good “ I like it.  I ‘ve set LockInfo to show me various types of information on the lock screen, but Things is easily the biggest one of those for me.

You can find Things for LockInfo now in the Cydia store, and it ‘s free.

  2. This is the plugin I've been looking for ages. Does it work well or is it still a beta/unstable version?

i've been wanting to try LockInfo but most of these lock screen apps pose a problem for my mandatory mQuickDo bar like you have up there. How much do these two clash? Is there a setting to make them more compatible?

So far, hey only clash aesthetically – as in there's some overlap and it doesn't look as neat or pretty – but I can scroll the LockInfo information just fine and also use the QuickDo bar without any problems.

I have LockInfo showing Things, Calendar, Weather, Email, SMS and Phone. You can set it up to only show these when there is an item in each plugin section and also to have each section be collapsed or open. You set choose these settings for each plugin individually. In this way, I can usually keep these plugins from overlapping my QuickDo icons. Aesthetic and functional.

BTW, the Things plugins works great.

  6. I hope by now you'll know that I am not trolling, but I have a recent experience for what its worth. Last weekend (not SuperBowl weekend) I installed LockInfo and it locked up my 3gs. I eventually restarted the phone and it never came back. I had to force DFU and I eventually restored, which tied up my perfectly organized very smooth running phone for several hours. As I reinstalled my apps I made two decisions. 1 I am avoiding Cydia from now on. 2. Lock Calendar isn't perfect, but its free and does what it says reliably and as a result I am avoiding LockInfo. In reality, it might not have been Lockinfo's fault, but that was the hot potato that burned 1/2 my Saturday.

Oh, absolutely we know that. Sorry to hear you had that bad experience, and I understand how sometimes you just choose to not mess with apps you feel are the most likely culprits. I'm going to give LockInfo a run and see how it goes for me – it's only been installed for one day now, but thus far no issues to report.

    • I don't know what could have happened, but I think it maybe created a conflict with some other apps.
I first installed Lockinfo last June and crashed only once.

  7. How did you put apps shortcuts on lockscreen? I'm looking for something like that for ages
