I used to be ridiculously into Valve’s class-based First Person Shooter, Team Fortress 2, but the game is getting on in years and I think it’s time to move on to something a little more fresh (Bad Company 2, if you must know – but please stop prying). But just because I’ve stopped playing the game 23/24 hours of every day doesn’t mean I’ll pass up a chance to tie my one great love, the iPhone, with my now-ex, Team Fortress 2. The two aren’t usually related (heck, the only other time I’ve written a post like this was for a set of TF2 Gelaskins), so just give me a second to savour this moment. Alright. News time.
This is another one of those themes I found over on the MacThemes forum. The designer calls himself Him Himself, but his Deviant Art page is under Koenigsegg_ccr. The TF2 theme is a pretty complete UI and icon replacement, and although I probably wouldn’t use it for more than a day, it features some interesting use of the fantastic in-game achievement icons. The system text has been replaced by a TF2-style font, and media player album artwork is now viewed through the sniper’s scope. It’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely worth a look for TF2 fans.
