I’d order the Zoom port today if I knew it wasn’t going to be obsolete in a month . and that it works with the iPad . I can’t think how apple would approve the app. without acknowledging the functionality !

yeah, interested to see what they've got to say – although for my uses, I'm still alright with just emailing pics or uploading them to Flickr, so I didn't bother with a support email.

True, but I’d say that SD cards are the safer bet for most users. Compact flash seems like DSLR crowd and they’d likely shoot in RAW, which the iPhone couldn’t even view.

The only reason I needed a computer the last time I was on vacation was to clean up my camera memory cards. With this, I could take just the iPhone anywhere and be set. I was a little unsure as to how accessible the pictures would be so I sent them an email with a few questions for clarification. If I hear back, I'll post; I'm sure many people are quite interested in this.
