Taskpaper likely won’t help me with my efficiency, but it sure looks like it might make data entry a little easier. Everything within the respective iPhone and Mac applications is really just formatted text that’s separated by bullet points or line breaks. The result is a UI that should be incredibly simple to understand and use — especially when it comes to creating new tasks. What’s interesting about Taskpaper is that it’s very minimal on the artificial interface front: no checkboxes or fancy categories, just a list of things as if you’d written them down on a piece of paper. You just type tasks in below a category name and then press the Return key to go to the next line. Completing a task is as simple as swiping over it (although the same goes for tasks in 2Do).
The other significant things to note about this app are the fully-featured Mac application and the Over-the-Air syncing with Simpletext.ws, which means that you can sync your two Taskpaper clients (Mac and iPhone) even over 3G. Minimal Mac has a great preview of the iPhone app if you’d like to learn more, or you could just buy the app on iTunes for $4.99.
